Music & Performing Arts

Te toi whakairo, ka ihiihi, ka wehiwehi, ka aweawe te ao katoa

The Performing Arts are highly valued in our kura. They allow us to explore and showcase our cultures and our identities. We share our connections and our diversity through performing arts, and develop creativity, confidence and resilience.

If you have any questions about our Performing Arts Programme, or would like to contribute to this in any way, please contact our Performing Arts Coordinator:

We are very fortunate to receive funding from the Ministry of Education and the Kids Love Music Charitable Trust which allows us to offer individual and small group music lessons to students at no cost to whānau.

We offer lessons for the following instruments:

Keyboard, drums, guitar, marimba, singing.

We have school rock bands and a junior choir.

Students are given the option to select an instrument to learn during school hours. Priority is given to Year 5 & 6 students. We have around 100 students involved in music lessons.

Our experienced, professional music tutors are also available for private lessons. If you wish to book private music lessons, please contact the tutor directly.
